Role Purpose: Communicate and Coordinate with the archaeologist / head of section
Duties and Responsibilities:
Field Work
• Surveying sites using a variety of methods, including field walking or underwater surveys.
• Recording and documenting heritage assets using QM Survey Guidelines.
• Using a range of survey equipment.
• Performing Watching Brief.
• Planning and managing a survey.
• Producing, compiling, and maintaining archaeological data.
• Recording and pre-classifying finds.
• Supporting Excavation and Site Management section during field work whenever it is required.
Office work:
• Analysing and interpreting archaeological data
• Managing photographs (archiving and renaming photographs)
• Using computer applications, such as GIS to record heritage assets
• Producing desk-based assessments and internal reports
- Producing and publishing scientific research papers
- Advanced knowledge about archaeological documentation methodology
- Excellent writing, communication, and research skills.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team

- BA Degree in relevant field
