Key Accountabilities:
Role Purpose: The Landscape Engineer responsibilities include supporting regular maintenance, operations, and monitoring the site. Provide support to our staff and ensure all daily procedures run smoothly.
Duties & Responsibilites:
- Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance schedule for landscape irrigation systems.
- Conduct pre-tender site visit, prepare the minute of site visit and technical clarifications.
- Monitor the projects progress as per the submitted program by the contractor to take appropriate action to catch the delay.
- Supervise and ensure timely resolution of corrective maintenance requests/complaints.
- Supervise and participate in the installation of any lines and ensure that the outsourced technicians/maintenance staffs are adequately utilizing the irrigation systems.
- Maintain the stock of repair parts to ensure appropriate maintenance of irrigation system.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary or as assigned by the head of the section.
- Develop and provide landscape input of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports.
- Review all contractor reports and adhere to all QHSE request and coordinate with HSE personnel and familiar with all local and international standards and codes.
- knowledgeable of native and local plants a nd landscape practices and how to best implement.
- Must have a sound knowledge of horticultural practice with specific regard to the implementation of large-scale hard and soft landscape works common to the Gulf region.
- Must be computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc.
- Carry out daily site inspection and attend weekly / monthly meetings as necessary with specific regard to landscape and HSE issues
- Maintain confidentiality of information at all times.
- Ensure the timely review of all documents submitted by the contractor
- Setting maintenance strategies as a part of maintenance procedures
- Inspecting and approving report and documentation drafted by the contractor
- Reviewing all the maintenance performance statistics and initiatives and to take corrective action if necessary.
- Participating and assisting in the prompt investigation of any reportable events and ensuring effective measures are taken to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have a sound knowledge of horticultural practice with specific regard to the implementation of large-scale hard and soft landscape works common to the Gulf region.
- B.Sc. in Agriculture Engineering - Irrigation
- 3 years minimum relevant experience
- Field supervision in irrigation maintenance systems with hands-on experience in scheduling and managing technicians
- Irrigation network design experience
- Knowledge of water requirement for lawns, trees, shrubs, ground cover plants seasonal plants, etc.
- Leadership capabilities and able to handle work under pressure
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software and other computer applications
- Excellent spoken and written English, Arabic language is a plus
- Good reporting skills
