About the Job: 

Role Purpose : The Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting all event management activities and operations – including the planning, organisation and implementation of events.

  • Support Head of Events with implementation of events management plans in NMoQ in coordination with Events Department
  • Supervise and coordinate operational and logistical activities related to the organisation and implementation of events, including at events outside of normal working hours
  • Maintain strong working relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure that contracts, invoicing and other documentation related to events management are processed in a timely manner 
  • Ensure that procurement procedures are followed and implemented in a timely manner
  • Ensure that calendar of NMoQ events is updated and accurately maintained
  • Ensure that database of contractors and suppliers is updated and accurately maintained
  • Act as a liaison between museum operational staff and Events team
  • Represent NMoQ at local meetings and events as required 
  • Work on special projects or tasks as requested by the Head of Event

  • Ability to prepare documents in a clear, concise manner
  • Well-developed computing skills including understanding of relevant IT products and software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.  Arabic would be an asset 
  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification in Tourism/Hospitality/Marketing or related area
  • Preferably 2 years work experience in the related field
