About the Job: 

Role purpose: This position is responsible for developing and executing the Museums Strategy and manage key stakeholders of the Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum (QOSM). Also develops new institutional opportunities in alignment with the Museums business strategic objectives.

• Support the Museum’s Director with the development and implementation of QOSM Strategy and support new strategies/projects to position QOSM in the world map.
• Identify, cultivate and lead the promotion of institutional strategic partners and stakeholders
• Establish, organize and implement strategic collaboration proposals with existing and new relationships
• Serve as senior leader on the museum strategic development team
• Identify new opportunities for institutional support
• Develop meaningful and compelling engagement opportunities for the community working closely with internal team and external partners
• Participate in departmental strategic and budgetary planning processes; provide recommendations on policies and goals desired; and implement new/revised programs according to established guidelines.
• Work with senior staff and other staff to develop and maintain an effective strategic standpoint for the success of the museum based on marketplace and visitor needs and satisfaction.
• Work with Education, Exhibitions and Public Programs staff to identify partnership opportunities
• Work Operations to ensure that partnership activities (in and out of the museum) are in line with the museum’s brand, mission and vision.
• Collaborate Operations to ensure that all planned activities are set-up, promoted and executed on time.
• Develop and lead regular exercises aimed to generate input from the Museum and stakeholders on the quality of programs and services
• Participate and represent the Museum in Local, regional and International events, conferences.
• Ensure that all museums initiatives/activities are aligned with the defined strategies across all the departments.
• Assign tasks across the team members, scheduling and monitoring work and reviewing results for timeliness, accuracy and quality.
• Assists Operations with the Museums commercial & non-commercial development activities and Strategy activities (coordination with shared services Strategy Department).
• Assists Operations with all strategic projects and programs performance updates to the senior management under the direction of the Museum’s Director
• Perform other duties as assigned

About The Applicant: 

• Knowledge of the proposal development process and project management
• Innovative and proactive approach to institutional relations
• Developing and managing budgets
• Written and oral communication skills
• Communication skills (written and oral)
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, International relations or related field
• 10+ years corporate development & business strategy work experience.
• 3 or more years of relevant experience in a business development of project management role
• Strong leader with demonstrated success working productively as a team member.
• The ability to inspire collaboration and teamwork within the development team, across other departments, and with internal and external leadership.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with great attention to detail
• Facilitation skills with a proven ability to motivate and coordinate multiple stakeholders and strategic partners
